Navigating Change: What This Season Is Asking of You

A Reflection on Nature, Inner Growth, and Awakening the True Self

There’s something undeniable about this time of year. Nature shifts quietly and deliberately…the light softens, the air cools, the ground prepares to rest. And without even trying, we feel those changes inside our own bodies.

Every season asks something different of us. Autumn asks us to notice…to slow down enough to feel what’s moving within…to honor what’s ready to be released and to make space for something new to take root.

Just like the trees, we are not meant to hold on to everything forever. Just like the earth, we are not meant to stay in one season all year long. There are moments to expand, moments to rest, moments to let go, and moments to rise.

But here’s the truth we often forget:

Our bodies are not the same every year.

Our needs are not the same every year.

And our inner world is not the same every year.

So why do we expect ourselves to stay the same?

Why do we cling to routines or traditions that no longer feel alive in us?

Why do we push ourselves into outdated versions of who we were, instead of who we’re becoming?

The work of this season is not about perfection or productivity or pleasing anyone else. It’s about grounding, regulating, and listening.

When life changes, whether through family dynamics, career shifts, health challenges, emotional waves, or spiritual awakening, the nervous system reacts first.

It tightens…it protects…it holds its breath.

This is why grounding isn’t optional.
It’s essential.

Grounding doesn’t mean becoming still or emotionless. It means creating enough inner steadiness to move through change without abandoning yourself.

It means reminding your body…

I can breathe here.
I can feel what’s true.
I can soften instead of brace.
I am safe to evolve.

And evolution is the point.

We’re not meant to live habitually, repeating patterns simply because “that’s the way it’s always been.”

We’re meant to grow… to question… to expand… to shed… to become more of who we really are.

So let me ask you:

What is shifting within you?
What old way of being is loosening its grip? What new, quiet truth is trying to surface?

You may notice it in your relationships.
You may feel it in your career.
You may sense it in your health, your energy, your emotions.
You may hear it in your spiritual life, a whisper to go deeper than you have before.

Whatever is calling for your attention is not random. It’s life nudging you toward alignment.

If you’re reading these words, you’re likely someone who feels that nudge, someone already on a path of personal and spiritual growth.

If this message doesn’t resonate, you’ll quickly close the page. But if something in you is awakening, if you’re searching, wondering, peeling back layers, sensing a shift inside you, then this is your season.

The season to go inward…to ground your nervous system…to listen more deeply than you usually do…to meet yourself where you are without judgment or rushing…to let this moment reveal something new about who you truly are.

Change isn’t here to disrupt you.
It’s here to transform you.

And if you let it, if you meet it with awareness and breath and compassion, it will guide you exactly where you’re ready to go next.

This is your time.
This is your season.
And everything within you is ready for what comes next.

Always with you on the path,
Kathy
